“Sorry again for troubling you Sho.” I wanted to bow down, but stopped by him.
“I told you, it doesn’t matter at all. Plus, it’s fun to talk with him.”
“Huh?” I frowned by Sho’s words. As much as I remembered, Kazu never greet him, let alone to talk with him. “What are you guys talking about?” I curiously asked that made Sho chuckled by my action.
“Well, not THAT fun talk I mean. We didn’t fool around or making any joke at all. And I think he almost punched me before."
“What?”
“I’ve told him that he should forgive you and stop from hating you.”
“Huh?! But why?!”
Sho suddenly laid his hands on my shoulders and patted me lightly.
“I’m sorry for poking my nose into your matter, Jun. But I really thought he should stop from doing that to you.”
“It’s fine. I deserve it.”
“No you’re not. And-hey! I haven’t finished with what he said before!”
He then smiled gladly.
“Guess what? He said he never hates you.”
I immediately let out a sigh. How I wish it was true indeed. I know Sho was not deceiving me but I don’t think Kazu like me either. If he doesn’t hate me why he never call my name like before and why he always try to avoid me? I know I should ask him but I do realize that he will ignore it and curse me even more.
“Kazu! Jun is here!”
I smiled happily as soon as I entered the living room. It reminded me with those precious memories with my family especially with Kazu.
Kazu...I hope he will forgive me.
“Kazu! Why don’t you come and greet Jun here!”
Mom screamed again. After telling her that I will go upstairs and greet him by myself, I immediately took my luggage on the floor and climb up the stairs. I then left it in my room and was about to knock Kazu’s door. But unexpectedly, he pulled it open first.
“Kazu?”
I was so shocked. One year, and he did change so much than the last time I saw him on the street before. He dyed his hair to the bright yellowish color and even wore a piercing on his left ear. At first, he also stunned and looked at me in disbelieve. But he then stepped aside and continued to walk away without greeting me with his cheerful and bright smile like usual.
“Kazu!”
He stopped and turned to me lazily.
“I’m back. Let’s get along like-”
“Just shut up, you *sshole.”
I froze. No, I was SO froze. The Kazu that I knew will never say ‘that’ and act coldly like that to me.
Was this the payment for all the things I did to him before?
Everything between us was dramatically changed after that day. I never saw Kazu smiled sincerely at me and he even didn’t let me to enter his room like before anymore. I was kept staring at the red traffic light in front when Kazu suddenly let out a gasp.
“Open up this door!”
“But Sir, we’re-”
“HURRY UP!”
The taxi driver unlocked the door confusedly. Sho turned to me and was about to ask what was happening, but the sound of the door being shut stopped him.
“KAZU!”
“Sir, it’s green now!”
I didn’t manage to get off from the cab when the driver started to drive away from there.

“Oba-chan, are you okay?!” I worriedly made my move to the old woman. She just weakly shook her head and stared me with her already teary eyes.
“...My purse.”
These f*ckin’ bullsh*ters! I’ll make sure they will regret with what they had done!
“I will get it back for you.”
After I helped her to get back on her feet and asked which direction they took, I speed up to chase after them with my totally indescribable anger. It took me some few minutes before I finally managed to track them all.
“Sh*t! I thought she was f*ckin’ rich!”
“That’s why I told you to not rob those dumb*ss eldest. They have nothing.”
“But did you see her face after that? So funny!”
I clenched my fist when they burst they laughed together.
“YOU’RE F*CKIN’ BATARDS!”
They immediately looked at me. One of them then immediately threw the purse to the ground hardly.
“You called us bastards?”
They slowly came to approach me with their arrogant faces. Did I step aback? No, no, no. In my life there’s no such a thing called ‘being coward’.
“Give us all they money you have and we will not make any harm to you.”
Cold hell. No way.
“Are you f*ckin’ deaf little b-”
And my punch touched his ugly face first.
~*~*~*~
None of us said anything along our way to head back home. Dad just silently drove in front with mom quietly sat beside him. Jun also like them, spacing outside without looking at me at all. I stared at the gloomy night sky. It is suppose to be raining anytime.
As soon as dad parked the car inside the garage, mom, Jun and I immediately stepped inside the house. I was about to get into my room when dad’s sudden shout startled all of us in the living room.
“KAZUNARI! EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU DID THAT!!!”
I sighed and turned to him. No matter what I say, they will never trust me anyway.
“I told you that I was trying to help an Oba-chan right?! How many times you want me to explain that?!”
“THEN WHY ONE OF THE GUYS BROKE THEIR NOSE?! YOU PURPOSELY HIT HIM RIGHT?!”
“Besides, one of them said that you’re the one who started the fight!”
Great. Now mom wanted to join this ‘third world war’ as well.
“You should trust me and not those outsiders!”
“The cop said no old folk or anyone did a report about they had been robbed today! Obviously you were purposely starting it right?!”
I furiously gritted my teeth when dad suddenly groaned and wiped his face with both his palms.
“Why I got a son like you! Now our family’s name ruin because of you!”
“I think I’m the one who should ask why I got a parent like you! Never trust his own son, but those outsider bullsh*t-!” And I hardly fell onto the floor by a sudden strong punch. I glared at the angry Jun above while spitting out the blood from my mouth.
“KAZU THAT I KNEW WILL NEVER SAY THAT! I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE ANYMORE!”
Felt offended by his angry voice, I immediately gathered all my strength to stand up before grabbing harshly Jun’s shirt.
“Well, as much I remember-” And I stomped him hardly on the wall. “I NEVER have a brother like you!”
Jun’s eyes went wide by my words.
“Get out now.”
Both of us turned to dad. I can see dad’s face already turned to red and his lips were trembling angrily.
“I SAID GET OUT! I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE ANYMORE!”
I stunned for a while by dad’s words. But then I curved with a grin.
“Fine. I’m tired to stay in this hell too.”
“Kazu!”
I let go of Jun and made my move to the door. Jun tried to stop me by grabbing my wrist but I pushed him hardly onto the floor. As I stood right in front of the door, I stopped and looked at them for the last time.
“Thank you for patiently raise this bastard son till this time.” Then I stepped out and closed the door behind me, ignoring Jun’s call inside.
My mind was so confused. My heart was incredibly hurt. I even could feel that I’m going to cry anytime soon. What made it worse, it was already raining heavily outside and I had not enough money to stay anywhere even for the cheapest motel in the city. I had no choice but just followed where my feet will bring me to and let the rain drenched all parts of my body.
I know that one day dad and mom are going to lose their patience and will do that to me. And I hold no resentment with Jun too. I’m actually waiting for it this entire time.
...However, I never thought it will be this hurt. Now I’m not only a hopeless guy, but also a homeless and useless scum. Maybe I should get rid of the ‘Miyamoto’ as my last name and just disappear from this cruel world already.
“Are you okay?”
The droplets of chill rain suddenly stopped from kept falling on me. I immediately looked at the asker beside me.
“Why are you here? Did something happen to you?”
Aiba clumsily asked and covered me with his transparent umbrella.
I bit my lower lip.
And knelt down on the road.
It was the first time in my entire life I cried in front of someone.

Chapter 4: I am no One
I looked at Kazu beside me. He just silently stared outside the window, perhaps lost in his own thought. After staying for a week at the hospital, the doctor finally let him out. Sho meanwhile was sitting at the cab passenger seat in front to give me some time to chit-chatting with Kazu.“Sorry again for troubling you Sho.” I wanted to bow down, but stopped by him.
“I told you, it doesn’t matter at all. Plus, it’s fun to talk with him.”
