Disclaimer: Plot 65% from me, 35% based on the real drama. The characters are not mine!
Summary: Based on Ryusei no Kizuna drama with slight change. 5 brothers sneaked out from their house to watch meteor shower but only found their parents were brutally murdered after returned home. 14 years later, the police unfortunately still could not find the culprit behind their parents death. The brothers meanwhile already become grown-up men and move to Tokyo, but still close with each other. They fill their days with laugh and funny quarrel despite of the deep grudge they hold toward their parents' murderer for the whole past years.
A/N: Their surname is Ariake.
“You guys are so noisy!! I can’t concentrate with my assignment at all!!!”
With a loud angry shout, Jun slams his bedroom’s door open. He however surprises by the sight of Sho pulling the apartment front door knob with all might till the vein line on his neck and arms clearly show up while his left foot already stick on the wall next to the door.
“MASA! PULL HER AWAY RIGHT NOW!!!”
“I’M TRYING SHO-NII!!!”
The youngest brother frowns upon hearing Masaki’s panic shout from the other side of the door. Immediately, he approaches his second brother who still struggle with the doorknob.
“Why are you guys playing with the door?”
“We’re not-Ah! Jun! Hurry up and help me to prevent that girl from entering our No Woman Allowed Zone!”
“Huh?”
“Masa bring some weird lady with him! And the lady wants to enter our house cause she’s too obsess with Aniki!”
“I told you I didn’t bring her! She stalks me from George’s café quietly!”
“Let me…wait for TOSHI!!!”
The lady’s possessive scream sends Jun a goosebumps. He however jerks up immediately when Sho suddenly screams for his help again before hurriedly moves to lend his hand for the elder one. After his arms wrapping tightly around Sho’s waist, the two brothers start to give their best to pull the doorknob together so the whoever lady outside there could not step into their man’s world. At the same time on the other side of the door, Masaki still struggles to make their Aniki’s hardcore fan to let go of the doorknob by pulling her waist as strong as he can. Unexpectedly however, the lady is really strong since it only makes her to tighten her hold around the doorknob while screaming loudly to burst all her Super Saiyan power out. There is no way she is going to lose against the three brothers for the sake of Satoshi.
“Please let it go now!!! You still can see Aniki tomorrow-no! The day after tomorrow!”
“I want to see his room!”
“This is Men’s Zone! We’ll never let any girl to step inside here even for a female teacup poodle’s puppy!!!”
“NO! THAT’S TOO CRUEL SHO-NII! THEY’RE CUTE!”
“Are you currently on our side or her?!!”
“OMG! Can’t you guys just cut with those crappy argument and MAKE THAT CRAZY WOMAN OUT THERE TO LEAVE THIS PLACE?!”
“No! Let me wait for Toshi inside!”
“Like what we’d said, we’re not going to allow any woman to enter this house! Go and bring your fannism to Aniki’s workplace!”
“I DON’T WANT TO!!!”
Sho and Jun begin to panic by her loud scream. Of course they do not want the lady to enter their house, but now they are more worried if their next door will bother by the shout. Besides, it might be turning out even worst if some middle age women who live in a same building with them hear it and start to make a huge scoop by bring it to the market when doing some groceries or use it as their family dinner’s topic tomorrow. After all, a lady screams hysterically in front of guys’ apartment?
There is NO doubt it will become hot news for the whole neighborhood later.
“Pleaseeee, Yoyogi-chan!”
“I’m Sagi! Sagi! Sagi!”
“Whatever your name is, LEAVE NOW IDIOT!”
“Who are you calling idiot, STINK OLD MAN?!!”
“WHO ARE YOU CALLING STINK OLD MAN, UGLY WITCH?!!”
“AND WHO ARE THE UGLY WITCH, YOU CRAZY BASTARD?!!”
Both Sho and Masaki are now confused when Jun and Sagi start to give a new worst-ever-nickname for each other. They suppose to fight to shoo Sagi away, but now it suddenly turns out into mocking competition between the two. Soon, fat woman, nerdy pervert guy, no-luck old folk, and even some out of topic like bald head, fungus, Son Goku and Doraemon come to their ears.
“Seriously, what are you guys fighting about now?!”
“SHUT UP!”
The poor Sho flinches and immediately zips his mouth. However, the argument still goes on with the three brothers still give all their power to prevent Sagi from get inside their apartment. The chaos shows no sign to stop at all until Masaki hears sound of someone munching beside him.
“Aniki?!”
The eldest brother just takes another bite of his melon bread while calmly watching the terrific 'door pulling's war' in front of him.
“When did you get here?”
“5 minutes ago.”
“And you’re just eating there?!”
“Eh? Toshiiiiiii!!!”
She immediately let go of the door; causing Sho and Jun to fall hardly from the other side. Masaki meanwhile does not manage to let go of Sagi and being dragged along when she suddenly runs to hug Satoshi tightly.
“Eh? Why are you here?”
Satoshi’s unexpectedly calm tone makes Sho and Jun to sit up on the doorstep with a sigh.
“No. We were meant to see each other in front of your house. I was by chance come here.”
“Nah. She’s obviously lying.”
“Gross.”
Sagi immediately shoots him a glare which makes Jun to rolls his eyes before returns the glare back without any fear. It however does not stay long when Satoshi suddenly grunt uncomfortably in her arms.
“Ah, sorry Toshi. I hug you too tight, right?”
With a very huge smile on her face, she immediately let go of his prince charming body. Although it is obvious that the latter has zero interest on her and just confusedly blinks his eyes, the only lady among them just keeps excitedly grinning like no end.
“Aniki, she almost breaks our No Woman Allowed Inside rule.”
“I see. Can you please leave and don’t come again?”
“Roger!”
“That easy?!”
Unexpectedly, Sagi just smiles happily while saluting the guy she is deeply fanning of. Just when she wants to step away, she finally notices Masaki’s arms around her waist.
“Pervert!”
The innocent Ariake's third son surprised when Sagi all of a sudden strongly pushes him away before giving a very hard slap on his face. Later, the fan of Satoshi immediately uses her handbag to hit hardly the other one's private area, causing Masaki’s eyes to almost pop out with his other three brothers there close their mouth immediately with horror expression.
“Don’t you dare to touch me again! Only Toshi can!”
“It’s not ugh…”
Masaki unfortunately could not finish his words and slowly falls on his knees by the stinging pain 'under there'. Sagi however just continues to walk away after happily tells his prince charm to see each other again later.
“You’re crazy!”
Masaki looks up and a 3 inches high heel flies straightly to his face.
“Ouch.”
Seeing Masaki already falls on the floor in defeat, Sagi immediately runs back to grab for her heel and starts to make her way from there again with a satisfied sigh. Sho and Jun on the other hand just wait her to disappear from their sight before finally crawl to poke the probably already dead third brother’s face. 10 seconds elapse and they finally hear Masaki’s painful whine.
“Are you okay, Masa?”
Satoshi worriedly approaches them. Soon, Masaki finally sits up in a very careful and slow pace.
“It’s really hurt…”
“It’s your fault though.”
The third brother pouts. Still furious with the mess that his troublemaker brother just created, the youngest one just gets up and enters their house with Sho later follows behind him without any sympathy with what just happen to the other one at all. Fortunately Satoshi still stay there and quickly moves to help his already limping younger brother to stand up and walk into the house. As soon as the eldest one closes the door behind, Masaki grunts furiously.
“I’m going to sue her if I can’t have children after this.”
Sho who just about to sit on the couch with a newspaper burst with laugh immediately.
“Not only kids. I bet no one even want to get married with you anymore.”
“Eh? No!”
Jun just chuckles.
“By the way, why are you coming here Masa?”
“Eh? Nothing. I just want to pay a visit.”
He smiles, gaining a suspicious stare from the others.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
The other one hums, but with a half believes tone. Masaki on the other hand just ignores it and asks Satoshi to support him to the toilet’s door which later almost makes him brim with tears when Jun sadistically keep teasing him that it will be a great pain when he throws his waste inside the bowl.
As soon as the toilet’s door close however, the smirks that plaster on the Jun’s face fades away.
“He’s bothered by something.”
He folds his arms thoughtfully.
“Do you think it’s because of the trauma again, Sho?”
Sho unfortunately only can sighs.
“If that’s the matter, I hope he will tell us.”

Two days already passed after his stay over, but Kazu still sighing for the already countless time with his back leaning on the desserts café's counter behind him. He could feel his head is somehow going to tear apart only to think where he can find money to buy the limited edition of his favorite game. Although he and Jun actually already went to Masaki’s workplace two days ago, one of the workers who was coincidentally still stayed there told them that Masaki already left long ago. Since the worker had no idea where Masaki heading to, their only option was to call the older one, but the third brother did not pick up his phone.
‘It’s better if I think for another way.’
He sighs again before turning around to face the counter and rest his folding arms on it. It is currently 5 PM sharp which means soon will be the peak time for the café since there will be a lot of high school students and office workers to serve. Soon, he suddenly feels his phone is vibrating inside his pocket. As he quickly shoves it out, he smiles and quickly replies the new incoming message.

I’ll be home late today. No need to wait for me :)
It is a fact that he had a big fight with his girlfriend two days ago, but the reason is actually not because he cannot look for permanent job. Back then she was suddenly called him when he was in a middle of work and asked if the story that she heard from her coworkers regarding his past was true. Though he knew that she was not going to break up with him just because of his family’s past as well as she also might be curious why he always avoid talking about his family when they were having a conversation, he somehow believe that it is still not a right time to reveal everything to her. In the end, they hang up the call with a shout to each other since she was too stubborn to demand for an explanation while he at the same time was too persistent to not say anything at all.
‘I wonder when Aniki and the rest also have a girlfriend…will they say something about our past?’
Kazu sighs again. Of course he does not want to hide the painful past forever, but now is still not a right time. Not until they found the murderer of their parents who is still live freely outside there without knowing how much he and his brothers suffer for all these several past years.
“Ariake, go and take the new customer’s order over there.”
One of the two girls behind the counter suddenly said before continuing to chit-chatting with her friend again. Pissed off by the slackers’ behavior, he just rolls his eyes and approaches the table with a drink pamphlet. After greeting politely the customer, he offers the other one the pamphlet and readily to write down his order without glancing.
“Kazunari-kun?”
The familiar voice startles him. He immediately looks up and grips his notepad tightly by the face in front him.
“Inspector Kashiwabara.”
The older one smiles.
“You still remember me?”
The Ariake fourth son however does not say anything but folds his arms in front of his chest.
“Actually, I just met Satoshi-kun at cemetery two days ago. I asked him if he knew where you and your other brothers’ are living now, but he said he had no idea since you guys already lost contact with each other. But seems I’m so lucky to found you here today.”
Deep inside, Kazu already expects his Aniki is going to say that. There is no way they will reveal anything about their current life to the inspector after he gives them a fake hope that the brutal murderer of their parents will be caught by he and his people soon. Yet, 14 years already passed and they still not receive any new development from the other one.
“And I also met Masaki-kun at the café 5 blocks from here after left the cemetery. Such a small world, wasn’t it?”
The inspector said it with a wide grin. However, it only makes Kazu’s expression changes to surprise.
“What? Y-You said you met Masa?”
“Yeah. I want to ask for his number, but he said he needs to leave cause’ he had important things to do.”
Now he is terribly worried. If it is true that inspector Kashiwabara bumped into Masaki, it perhaps will cause the older brother to have his panic attack again. Even though it is almost 10 years since they encountered Masaki’s last attack, he was still not sure whether the other one already recovered from it or not. Furthermore, the fact that the inspector fails to keep his promise maybe can cause Masaki’s emotion become unstable again.
“How about you give me your number so I can contact or give it to your brothers if I found them again later?”
“No need. Have you decided your order?”
“But you guys must be wanted to see each other again, right? Maybe I can help.”
“I’m fine with my life now and I believe my brothers also think the same thing like me.”
The determine words of his makes the sitting man to look at him in disbelieve. Finally, he heard a heavy sighs from his customer.
“Cup of coffee please.”
Kazu just nod. The younger guy then takes the drink pamphlet and bow down like he usually does to the other customers before bringing his feet away from there. Soon, he suddenly stops and turns to look at the older man again with a serious gaze.
“We have nothing to do with you anymore, so never try to make us see each other or look for any of us anymore. I admit that you’re quite lucky to see me, Aniki and Masa cause maybe you already dead if you found either Sho-nii or Jun first. Trust me, both of them hate cops more than anything in this world.”
With the last word, he beams the older one a hateful glare before turning around and continuing to leave the place.

Sound of people walking clearly can be heard from inside of Satoshi’s workplace. It is only 30 minutes after the exact closing time of George’s curry cafe, but everything already neatly arranges with the previous dirty dishes are now shining on the shelves and floor below them are as clean as can be used as mirror.
“The three of you should come here more frequently. All the cleaning job finish much faster with you guys youth strength.”
However, Sho just tiredly waves his hand and sits on the serving counter.
“I just came home from my work, but Aniki and Jun still force me to come along with them right after I changed my clothes. You’ve no idea how tired I am now.”
Sho’s tone makes the owner laughs. A moment later, Jun gets inside from helping Masaki to put the rubbish bag outside.
“SHO-NII! I JUST CLEAN THAT COUNTER BEFORE!”
“Eh? Ah! Sorry Jun!”
He clumsily jumps down when Jun immediately dashes to see if the older brother just dirtying what he just carefully cleaned up before. Fortunately there is no even a single trace of dust shows on the counter or Jun maybe already smacks him hardly on head.
“Found it!”
The two brothers including George turn to look at Satoshi when the latter suddenly comes out from storage room with an unused table cloth in his hand. At the same time, Masaki enters back the place using the back door while Kazu from the entrance, coincidentally just finish his shift from working at George’s video renting store. Sighting the five brothers finally gathering in the cafe again, George could not help but curves with a wide grin. He then approaches Satoshi who still holds the table cloth and gives the guy a pat on shoulder.
“I’m leaving first then. My wife is waiting.”
He winks; gaining meaningful whistles and tease from the other four guys there. The Ariake brothers then burst with laugh when George sings a famous love song from Showa period while heading out before lost under the night. Then, the five guys remain silent for a while.
Soon, they burst for another laugh by the sudden awkward quietness.
“You still can laugh after almost lost your chance to have child last night?”
“Aren’t you should be happy for me instead of teasing me like that?”
Jun laughs by it.
“You must be acting like it looks sooooo hurt last night~”
“How about I give you ONE so you can decide it by yourself, Sho-nii?”
This time Satoshi, Sho and Jun laugh together; purposely makes Masaki to furrow his eyebrows furiously while Kazu frowning by it. Only after Masaki follows their eldest brother into the kitchen to grab some beer from the refrigerator, Sho and Jun finally make their move to Kazu and explain about what is actually happen last night. It does not take so much time before Masaki annoyingly roll his eyes by the sound of three teasing brothers’ laugh. He later chooses to ignore it and just opens the refrigerator’s door before questioningly turns to Satoshi beside him. Satoshi on the other hand just blinks by the view of cans of carbonated drinks fill up every space of the freezing large box for a while.
“Oh. I forgot George doesn’t serve alcohol here.”
“What?! Why you just say it now?!”
Masaki's voice gains the other three brothers’ attention. Immediately, sound of footsteps approach the two of them from behind.
“What’s wrong?”
“Aniki said they don’t serve any alcohol here.”
“What? Why don’t you tell us much earlier then?”
“I just remember it now.”
The four younger brothers sigh.
“Let’s decide someone to go out and buy it.”
“Not me. It’s freezing outside there.”
“I’ve no money to buy it. Plus, you just ban Aniki from give us any yen right?”
Sho snorts when Kazu already looks at him with a smirk.
“Masa, you go.”
“Eh? But…”
“Don’t push it to others, Sho-nii. You’re the one who comes up with this idea so how about you show us how brilliant your idea is by do it yourself?”
“Well, since I’m the one who comes up with this idea, that’s why I’m the one who also shouldn’t go and buy it.”
“Alright, guys. How about we just grab anything that this refrigerator already had? It’s much easier, right?”
His words make the four younger brother turn to him immediately.
“This is your fault, you know!”
The eldest brother however just sticks with his so-not-guilty expression. Finally realizing how good their brother in pretending nothing, the other four give up. Soon, a line of wide smile appears on Satoshi’s face when each of them finally move to grab any drink that their found in the refrigerator. Sho with apple juice, Masaki chooses citrus drink, Kazu grabs carbonate orange while Jun takes a grape juice can before Satoshi picks Pepsi Blue and closes the door. With the unused old table cloth that he found before still in his left grip, Satoshi leads his brothers to the rooftop’s stairs. Masaki is the first one who shouts excitedly by the amazing sight of wide dark sky above them which later join by the rest. They keep shouting and screaming childishly like the world is theirs until a sudden shout startle them.
“SHUT UP!”
All the five abruptly close their mouth. Satoshi then passes the table cloth in his hand to Sho which makes the second eldest to chuckle by the almost same 14 years ago memory. As soon as the he spreads it on the rooftop, Masaki and Kazu quickly sit on center before pushing each other hardly aside, trying to snatch the most comfortable space while the other brothers only laugh and sit beside them. Later, the five of them fall into silence. They just stay in the comfortable state while taking some gulp of their drink with their eyes still not leaving the few glittering stars scattered on the sky above them.
Not long after, Masaki suddenly gasps and sits up.
“A meteor!’
He points at the sky which makes the rest immediately follows the direction of his finger. They unfortunately could not catch even a glimpse of the falling meteoroid.
“Ah…I lost my chance for a wish.”
The third brother pouts.
“…Will…mom and dad still alive if we make our wish to the meteor?”
“Eh?”
Satoshi gives a sigh.
“Sometimes I wonder. If I still awake during the meteor shower years ago and pray for mom and dad, they maybe will definitely still alive until now.”
Kazu immediately sits up with both Sho and Jun shift for a better view of him.
“If…I didn’t insist to make all of us come out before, will mom and dad safe?”
“Don’t say that, Aniki. It’s not your fault. If you didn’t bring me, Masa and Jun as well that night, the murderer might be killed us too.”
“Kazu is right. It is nobody fault because we maybe still not alive until this moment if we didn’t sneak out years ago. But if you want to blame someone, you can blame me Aniki. I was the one who really wanted to see the meteor shower at that time.”
None of them say anything for a while.
“…It’s actually the murderer’s fault. Not us.”
They look at their youngest brother immediately. Jun on the other hand also seriously returns their gaze.
“The one who should be blamed on is him. I’ll never forgive that murderer for doing mom and dad like that.”
A hurtful expression shows on each of them.
For several years, they had through a very painful life when everyone keep talking behind them that their parents were killed either for could not settle a huge amount of debt or some gangsters hold a grudge against their father who was a bit straightforward when telling people his piece of thought before. The neighborhood will pretend like they feel sorry when bumped into them, but later they will start to talk again about the reason why the five of them are safe and still alive. Those hypocrite people really made them sick. And every time that kind of situation happened, their feelings to revenge for the sake of their late parents will become deeper and bigger.
“We don’t need anyone's help to look for that murderer anymore.”
The rest turn to him.
“When we found the murderer later, we’re going to kill that bastard by ourselves.”
Their faces contain a same sorrow and anger look. Soon, they startle by the ringtone of Kazu’s phone.
“Yeah. I’ll be home later. Don’t worry.”
While Masaki and Jun start to tease the fourth brother with meaningful whistle, Satoshi just chuckles amusingly with just Sho snorts without saying anything. Only after a moment later, the fourth brother finally hangs up the call.
“If you’re so jealous cause I’ve a girlfriend and not SINGLE like you Sho-nii, go find one.”
“Who’s jealous with you? Plus, I’m not the only one. Aniki also with me right?”
“I’m still not interested with love.”
Kazu giggles by the answer. He already expects the eldest brother is going to say that after all.
“Jun is single too.”
“Nah. I’m still enjoying my single life. I’m just 21 after all.”
The youngest guy then calmly takes another gulp of his juice; completely ignoring Sho’s glare for not cooperating with him. As Kazu now already laugh evilly, Sho immediately lays his arm on Masaki’s shoulder who is coincidentally sitting next to him.
“Masa is single AS WELL.”
“Nope. It’s more like no one wants a naïve guy like him.”
“Oh, come on. Just admit your defeat Kazu.”
The younger one immediately shoots his older brother with ‘who is going to lose to you’ glare. Sho however just returns it back with a victorious grin.
“Err…Sho-nii?”
“What?”
“I’m not single.”
The other four spin to him immediately. They just disbelievingly lock their stare until Masaki finally opens his mouth again.
“I already have a girlfriend.”
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHH?????????????”
“SHUT UP!!”
The same shout startle them again. The four guys immediately close their mouth, but with eyes still staring the guy who they keep calling naïve all the time without blinking.
“W-wait. We never hear that.”
“Well, you guys never ask.”
“Since when both of you became a couple?”
“I bet not long. Who can stand with his way of thinking after all?”
“I think so.”
“6 years ago.”
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHH?????????????”
“SHUT UP!!! IT’S MIDNIGHT ALREADY, YOU MORON!!!”
This time the mad shout follow by sound of bottle crash and cat growls which forces Satoshi, Sho, Kazu and Jun to clumsily move their palm to close their mouth while Masaki hushes furiously by their loudness.
“T-That is long…More than mine.”
“Means you met her after you moved here right?”
“Yep.”
Kazu and Jun gape in astonishment. Sho on the other hand just stays freeze in horrified when he realizes that his only single-man ally is now taken.
Suddenly, he feels a pat on his shoulder.
“You can’t deny the fact already Sho-nii.”
“Yeah. You’re going to stick with always SINGLE and AVAILABLE title.”
“Poor Sho-nii…”
“OI! And you too Masa?! Don’t you know you just betray me?!”
Unfortunately for him, the Ariake partner in crime still continuously teases him. Masaki meanwhile pouts furiously when Sho does not stop from calling him traitor since Sho is now lost his only ally from Kazu and Jun’s teases and mocks him. Satoshi on the other hand just laughs amusingly by the small childish fight. Slowly, he lie down on the table cloth under him with his hands folds under his head. The beautiful sky above him somehow calming with the cold, but comfortable breeze blow sometimes.
As time passed like a very slow motion, Satoshi finally thinks that he could not hold back his sleepiness anymore. He immediately sits up to call it a night, but surprise by the sight around him.
“Eh? Guys?”
However, his four younger brothers just continue to snore peacefully. The eldest brother could not help but chuckle.
“Thank you for your hard work.”
With a smile, he lays back on the table cloth. Only one minute after he closes his eyes, he also falls into a deep slumber together with his brothers; side by side.

#Sorry for haven't update for almost 2 weeks all of sudden. Actually the night after I posted chapter 2 back then, my mom suddenly told me and my older sister to go to my aunt's place and help to look for her kids cause the baby girl that she was currently carried on dead and my uncle need to go and take care of something at the hospital. The baby already 9 months, but unfortunately she couldn't be saved anymore (R.I.P). Since my family already experienced this before, (which I seriously have no idea whether this is coincident or what cause my family also EXACTLY almost have a baby girl who's EXACTLY supposed to be the fifth child which was also EXACTLY happened when my mom was on her 9th months pregnant and when I was EXACTLY 5 years old which was at the same age with my aunt and uncle's youngest child) my parents somehow understand their situation and told me and my sis to stay with their family for a while cause it's not good to leave a mother who just lost her baby alone since she must be traumatized by it and help them as much as we can(though what I did all the time just trouble and need my sis to save me most of the time -.-") That's why...I'm sorry for make all of you waiting. But I believe you understand my situation right? :) Btw, my aunt is better now(Thank God) ^^#For the Muslims Arashi's fans, SELAMAT BERPUASA! XD
