P.S: Eh? Your friend said that. I think it can be true because my brother doesn't use laptop fan too, but in the end probably it depends on the laptop too. Some laptop can work better when overheat and some more not. If it's too hot I think it can bring damage to the laptop wiring/components and that's why it turn off itself(?) Just saying though.
