Disclaimer: I just wrote the plot.
Summary: What you're going to do when you received a message from Shinigami that said you're joining their game? 25 people including Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Ninomiya Kazunari and Matsumoto Jun try their best to survive the game for the rest three days or they will lost their lives in the most fatal accident they ever thought. Will they manage to? And why Ohno Satoshi who has nothing to do with it tries to rescue every victims that he found?
Warnings: This story full with blood, murderer and plot that might be unsuitable for you who hate this kind of stuff. For you who ever read my fics before, THIS STORY is different from what I ever wrote.
Panic people can be seen anywhere. While Ohno, Sho and Aiba try to reach the bomb site, flood of humans are running against them at the same time. The city is completely in its peak of chaos with every single people on the road are pulling and pushing each other for saving their precious life. Countless time the three guys bump hardly into anyone who blocks their way in front and stops by numerous cars that were just leave by its driver on the road. However, still none of them ever think to stop from move forward.
You’re on our way
Dissatisfied eyes laid on the still running Ohno from behind.
This game will be not entertaining anymore if you keep bother it
With a mad roar, pair of hands tries to reach for his neck.
I want you to listen on my order!
Immediately, Ohno turns his head around. He however found no one and hurriedly focus on his front again which makes him accidently bumps into someone.
“I’m sorry!”
He clumsily apologizes at the guy. The spectacles guy who he bumps to didn’t say anything but smiles as Ohno continue to run again.
“Leave this site, NOW!”
A policeman seriously shouts behind his speaker when the three of them finally stood right behind the caution fences with line of elite polices take a heavy guard in front it. Clearly from their place, they could see a man in his 40s is sitting on an empty area of the road with a laptop in front him. Dozens of reporters and cameramen keep push their back hardly from behind for a better view, but fortunately they can bear with it.
“Is that man who they’re meant to?”
“I think so…”
All of sudden, the man gets up; showing the wrapping bombs all around his body. Take it as their only chance, all the cameras try to snap his picture before stop by those police nearby.
“So, where those people that I asked to come and see me?!”
Silence.
For a while, the whole crowd there only wait for the man to continue with his words. The incident now is broadcast live from the incident site and even shows up on one of the giant screens on the nearby building there. Determinedly, the policeman with the speaker before seriously returns the man’s eyes.
“Hands up and lay on the road!”
“I said; WHERE ARE THEM?!”
“You must listen to us! Hands up and lay on the road, NOW!
However, the man just sniggers. He then slowly moves to his laptop on the ground.
“You guys think I’m joking here?”
He laughs bitterly again. With a small push on the keyboard by him, a loud sudden explosion occurred from buildings few metres from the area. Thick smoke slowly covered the grey sky above them that makes all the witnesses there widen their eyes in disbelieve.
“Now, you can see how serious I am?!”
“Don’t force us to shoot!”
All the units there immediately aim their guns on the man. Watching it, all people there screams in terrified with some of them finally choose to leave the place while the other half still stay at the same place.
“You kill me and you guys will never found where I have hid all the rest 7 bombs.”
“Your selfish act will cost innocent people lives! It’s still not too late for you to go back!”
“My daughter WAS innocent too! She suppose to celebrate her 17 birthday with me if not because of the message which she asked me about yesterday! And I’m here today to see who receivers of the messages that still survive until this far!”
Everyone start to look at each other; totally confused with the man’s words. Aiba who just silently watches the headline on the giant screen while ago tries to move forward, but stops by both Ohno and Sho.
“Don’t go.”
“But-”
“We still don’t know what his reason is.”
Aiba just bites his lower lip worriedly by Ohno’s lips movement. The insane man now slowly looks around him; waiting if there’s anyone among the crowd of observers, reporters and commoners who are still stay there that dare to step forward. Sighting it, Aiba wants to admit himself but again stop by Ohno’s head shook.
“Fine.”
The crowd slowly took a step aback by his words.
“I’ll make an offer here! Who manage to find the Shinigami message’s receivers and bring him or her to me, I’ll send 2 hundred million yen direct into his account using my laptop here!”
Immediately, the place full with everyone whispers. Ohno, Sho and Aiba meanwhile just can worriedly look at the people around them.
“They have fire mark around their wrist!”
The three guys startle by the statement. How come the man knows about it?
“Guys, cover your hand.”
With the whisper, Ohno moves his watch to his right wrist immediately for a precaution. Sho and Aiba meanwhile clumsily roll down the hem of their sleeves properly. For a while, the crowd are noise with sound of people talking and whispering until a shout suddenly break the noise.
“I found one!”
Every each rolling camera there focuses on the shouter’s face immediately. As the three of them couldn’t see the person from the place they are standing at, they turn to see the giant screen not far from there.
‘”Move aside!”
The guys with the cap loudly shouts while forcefully drag a young woman out of the crowd. The woman’s face slightly covers with bleeding cuts which perhaps cause by the Shinigami’s attack.
“We need to do something.”
Sho immediately tries to break the police guards by push them hardly aside. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and only cause the police and duty to warn him to stop or he will be arrested. With a curse, the guy couldn’t do anything but stop. Finally, the woman was thrown harshly to the road after the cap guy was given a way from the police or the bomber will explode him there.
“As the return?”
“Type your account number there.”
The cap guy happily moves to the man’s laptop. The poor woman meanwhile only can tremblingly watch the bomber comes to approach her step by step.
“Ohno-san.”
Both Sho and Aiba now are looking at Ohno for doing something. Ohno’s mind however couldn’t process for any solution at all. If he uses his ability to burn that man, obviously all innocent lives there will turn to dead body in no time by the bombs. He even can’t rely on his guardian as he knew that guy will never poke his nose into something that has nothing to do with his life.
“…W-What…do you want…from me?”
The woman shifts aback with her eyes showed full of scare.
“Move aside!”
Sho and Aiba immediately turn to look at Ohno when the guy suddenly moves to climb up the fence. The police nearby who are completely shocked by his unexpected act rush to stop him but block by Sho and Aiba.
“If you guys don’t move aside, we’re going to arrest you guys for disturbing us!”
BANG!
Immediately, all eyes move to the bomber area.
“…Why?”
“He had…gun?”
“Attention for all shooters! The criminal had a gun with him! Just take any immediate action if he is going to shoot someone again!”
Again, sounds of terrified screams echoes all around there. Extremely scare by it, the cap guy before immediately leaves the place since he already receives what he believe he should get. Ohno however tremblingly approaches the woman body with blood slowly flow out from her stomach. Just when he almost kneels down and touches her, pairs of hands suddenly grab him from behind and drag him harshly back to his spot behind the guards.
“Again you try to do that; we’ll drag you out from here with your friends!”
Ohno didn’t react but angrily return the policeman’s stare with Sho and Aiba. Flashes from camera suddenly brighten the place again as they’re seeking for any opportunity they have to snap the picture of the poor woman on the road.
“I want another person with that mark!”
No one response by it.
“I’ll blow up the second bomb if you guys didn’t send anyone!”
Now, everyone exchange their worried glances. No matter how much the police told them to calm down and don’t try to take any decision by their own, no one even listen to it. Finally, someone shouts loudly again which attract all the cameras there to focus on that person’s face. Ohno, Sho and Aiba faces change into a depress one when a guy is pointing at an old man who is hugging tightly his bag pack from the giant screen on the building.
“I saw that mark! He tries to hide it!”
The old man terrifyingly shook his head. As he saw everyone there move to approach him, he clumsily moves aback and tries to save his life.
“This is ridiculous.”
Ohno turns to Sho confusedly. All of sudden, Sho quickly runs from there and head to the old man’s place which is block by hundred humans and cars.
“Sakurai-san!”
All the television station’s cameras now are focusing on Sho. However, no matter how many times he shouts to people in front him for move from blocking his way; everyone seems still confused with what he is trying to do. Losing his patience, Sho immediately runs toward one of the car nearby and climbs to the rooftop. He jumps from one to another car there while at the same time try to get closer with the poor old man’s area. Finally, he found a car with a driver inside and immediately jumps down next to the driver’s door and opens it.
“Please let me borrow this.”
He asks between his pants. Knowing that the other one is about to protest, he immediately pulls the chubby man out of the car before sits on driver’s seat. As he drives backward while continuously pushes the horn, all people there clumsily move from his way. He keeps doing it until he finally stops right beside the trembling old man before quickly opens the door.
“Hurry up!”
The old man immediately reaches for Sho’s hand right after the door open in front him. From they still standing spot, both Ohno and Aiba curve with smile as they watch Sho safely drives away from the place with the old man. However, it was otherwise for the insane bomber.
“I WON’T LET IT BE!”
Screams sound noise the city again when the man madly pushes for another button on his laptop. However, even until a minute elapsed, still no sound can be heard.
“Safe.”
Jun lets a very relief sigh out from his mouth.
“That was really freaking me out. We might lose our life here, you know.”
Nino just chuckles by the other one’s words. Fortunately Jun was suddenly passed out when they are in the middle of arguing which gave him a chance to piggyback that guy out from the convenient store using the back door last night. They need to fight with the coldness of the rain in a dark alley after that, but not until they not purposely eavesdropped voice of a man was talking in his phone about he will place bomb in 8 different places for the sake of his late only daughter. At the same time also, Jun found the pile of unwanted clothes in a bag plastic in the alley that gave them a chance to change their wet clothes.
“You know, I was accidently read your message last night.”
“The Shinigami one?”
“Yep. But I don’t understand. What does it means with 0139?”
“I sent the message exactly on 1.39 pm. So, I think that scum head just wanted to mock us for let him know where we were last night.”
Nino simply nods by it. Soon, Jun crouches down beside him with the torchlight in his hand still not leaving the laptop’s screen that Nino is working on.
“How did you know how to stop this bomb?”
“…Cause I’m a chemistry teacher?”
He starts to laugh when Jun already frowns by his answer. His fingers never move from type something on the laptop that they found been left there while ago.
“It’s just like a simple equation of mixtures and compounds. Nothing is so hard.”
Jun just gives a simple hum before moves the torchlight in his hand closer to the eye patch guy for a better view on the laptop’s screen. He has no idea how the guy still could snatch the eye patch packet with him when the robber stormed into the store last night.
“Honestly…I think you know who was that man right?”
“Huh? Who did you meant?”
“The man who set all these bombs.”
Nino didn’t say anything.
“Cause we just heard he said ‘I don’t want to see the place exist anymore since my daughter’s dream is to become one of the doctors there’, but, he didn’t say where the place is.”
“…I don’t know if that man should be called as a father or not for could blow up a building full of kids.”
Jun frowns.
“He’d say his daughter’s name before he said that and that’s when I realize the daughter of her was my former student.”
“…And?”
“I’ve always stayed back at school and spend time with my students. I still remember she always told me before how close she was with her father and her long time dream to become paediatrician at this building. So, that’s why I know how come he’s going to target this building.”
The other one didn’t reply when he heard sounds of kids are whispering from behind the door. Those kids’ faces look so confused; perhaps completely didn’t get of why the two big brothers suddenly come into their place and ask the doctors there who they called as Uncles and Aunties that they need to look for something in the hospital.
“You remember well your students, huh?”
“Well, she always scored a good grade on my subject. Plus, her father is someone famous about this field too. Alright, I’m finish here.”
Nino immediately flipped off the laptop before gets back on his feet. He then calmly stretches his body before gives a small ‘ok’ from his mouth.
“Umm…”
Both of them immediately bring their gaze to the one of the little boy outside.
“What are you doing, Ni-chan?”
The little boy blinks wonderingly along with his friends behind.
“Well…saving our life, I guess?”
He chuckles when all the kids start to beam them with more questioning eyes. However, it just makes Nino feels more worry about Jun.
“Are you…okay?”
“Hmm? Yeah. Why are you asking?”
Nino just shook his head and followed the other one to walk out from the room. Now he starts to doubt whether the guy in front him has a double personality or something that to do with it. Last night, he kept telling him that he couldn’t bear with the game anymore and just wanted to put end of his life in the bus explosion which was obviously different with what he told the little boy just while ago.
‘And what with the parents murdered about?’
Suspiciously, he stares Jun who is now leading the way. Was that guy is not dangerous and someone that can be trust or otherwise?
“Sir, I think you need to watch this.”
One of the paediatricians there calls for them. Hurriedly, Nino and Jun moves closer to the doctor. As their eyes caught the headline of the news that broadcast live from the bomb site, their eyes goes wider.
BOMBER SEEKING FOR SHINIGAMI’S MESSAGE RECEIVERS-1 KILLED, 1 ESCAPE-
“He set up all the bombs just for make those message receivers come out? He must be out of his mind.”
“And to place one of it in building full of kids…he is heartless.”
The nurse said as she hugs tightly a little girl in her arms. Confusedly, the little girl turns to look at the nurse above her.
“If the message receivers come out…will he stop?”
Nino and Jun bitterly make their fist by her words.
All people there still wondering why no explosion occurs include the man himself. He even pushes the same button for activate it again and again, but still nothing happen. Believe something wrong maybe happen, both Ohno and Aiba exchange glance. It’s when Ohno feels something is wetting his hand.
‘What’s with this sticky?’
He looks under him and widens his eyes in surprise when a dog is now sniffing on his wrist.
“Found already, Kin?!”
The dog gives a response to its owner with a loud bark. Shocked by it, Ohno clumsily pulls his hand away but it was already too late when the dog all of sudden bite his wrist.
“Ohno-san!”
Both guys struggle to make the German shepherd stops. Unfortunately, none of what they did works until the owner finally comes to approach them. Believe that the owner is trying to help them, Aiba almost thanked him, but the firm man suddenly grabs harshly Ohno’s red wrist to the bomber area.
“I found one! 2 million thousand yen will be mine!”
His shout startle the crowd near him. Aiba who just watching quietly finally realizes with what the man is going to do. Immediately, he tries to stop him but was forcefully been pushed aside by group of people who wanted to snatch Ohno from the dog’s owner. They completely ignore the police warn for stop and stay away from the dangerous area since their mind already full with the reward that they are going to get. Unfortunately, the defence squad couldn’t do anything to save Ohno when they only succeed to join their arms for preventing the commoners from going further after the guy had been harshly threw into the bomber area.
“Ohno-san!”
Ohno can clearly heard Aiba’s worried scream among the noises of the crowd around him. As he looks aside, he saw the deaf guy is trying to break the police defence even though it was already too late as he heard sounds of footsteps are approaching him in front.
“NO!”
Fearfully, Aiba tries to run forward again when he saw the insane man already aims his gun accurately on Ohno’s head.
“Die.”
