Disclaimer: I just wrote the plot.
Summary: What you're going to do when you received a message from Shinigami that said you're joining their game? 25 people including Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Ninomiya Kazunari and Matsumoto Jun try their best to survive the game for the rest three days or they will lost their lives in the most fatal accident they ever thought. Will they manage to? And why Ohno Satoshi who has nothing to do with it tries to rescue every victims that he found?
Warnings: This story full with blood, murderer and plot that might be unsuitable for you who hate this kind of stuff. For you who ever read my fics before, THIS STORY is different from what I ever wrote.
It’s just a usual morning for Jun and his family. Sleepily, he climbed down the stairs for one of his family’s tradition; having breakfast together.
“Good morning.”
He said as soon as he sat on the chair. The morning wasn’t different from the other day with he teased his sister and the two of them started to argued with each other before their mother finally stopped them and their father laughed behind his newspaper by his kids’ childishness. Few minutes later, the two siblings quickly finished their meal and readily to leave for their school. However, when they almost reach the front door, Jun abruptly stopped.
“Hey, we’re going late.”
“Ah, I think I forgot something on my desk.”
He immediately rushed to the upstairs, causing his sister to snort and moved to wait for him outside of their house.
‘I’ll definitely become dead meat if I just left before!’
The young Jun sighs in relief. After shoves the book into his school bag, he clumsily climbed down the stairs and saw his parents still having their meal calmly.
And everything was blank.
The next thing he remembered was both of his parents stained with blood with his mother on the floor while his father leaned on the chair. Later soon, Jun noticed that the two of them already stopped breathing. Just when he tried to approach toward the two bodies fearfully, he finally noticed how dirty his shirts with blood and his hands were tightly holding a knife.
TANG!
The knife fell down when he tremblingly released it.
“Jun! Why are you taking so much-!”
Immediately, he turned to the door and saw his sister froze with shocked eyes. She clumsily approached their parents’ cold body, but stopped on the midway by her brother’s words.
“Did I…kill mom and dad?”
Jun slowly opens his eyes. The shop now is dim with his body lying on the cold floor.
‘That dream again.’
He sits up with a small sigh. Only after few seconds elapsed he finally realizes there is no one around him, but numerous clothes racks. Worriedly, Jun immediately stood up and looked around the store; seeing Sho is standing while facing the glass door. As he walks closer to the guy, he saw Nino is sitting on the floor with his palm rubs tiredly his temple.
“For how long he has been out from here?”
“More than 10 minutes ago. He supposes to be here now.”
However, the answer just makes the patch eye guy sigh.
“There must be something happen to him.”
“What’s going on?”
Both Sho and Nino immediately look at him.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah. What are you guys talking about?”
He asks while steps closer toward them.
“It’s my fault.”
“No, it’s not. No one hope this thing to happen.”
He then brings his gaze to Jun.
“Ninomiya-san is dehydrating. Since I’ll be in a bad situation if I go to look for water and food alone, Aiba-san told me to stay here.”
“…But he’s still not showing up even though he already went out more than 10 minutes ago?”
Weakly, the other one nods. Somehow now he feels guilty for causing the deaf guy to take that dangerous action.
“I should give my phone number to him in case he faces any trouble. Why I didn’t think about that earlier?”
Sho sighs worriedly; full of regret. As he leans on the shop wall glass, another lightening bright the outside area. The flash almost leads Nino to worriedly storm out from the shop despite of his not well condition and find for Aiba but unexpectedly soon, he saw two figures are approaching the place hurriedly while covering their body with a coat from the heavy rain above.
“Is that him?”
Sho immediately turns to face the glass. He couldn’t help but feels relief when he saw Aiba is running to them until he notices someone is following the deaf guy behind.
“Who is coming with him?”
Confusedly, they watch Aiba approaching the place before Sho quickly opens the door for let him get inside. Following him from behind was a lady who already pants heavily. She almost steps inside, but Sho abruptly stops him.
“I’m sorry if I’m acting rude, but we need you to leave this place as soon as possible before anything bad happen to you.”
“But I saw he had a same mark like my younger brother!”
Sho turns to look at Aiba immediately.
“I’d try to stop her. But she insists to.”
Soon, Nino frowns by the face.
“Eh? Wasn’t you…?”
The lady looks at the familiar voice owner on the floor immediately.
“You’re with Jun last night! Where’s he now?!”
Sound of footsteps approach makes her stops immediately.
“I’m here.”

Right after sits beside Nino, Aiba passes the guy with a bottle of water from inside the plastic bag he brings. He watches the younger guy drinks it to ensure if everything is alright before looks up at the three people who still look at each other at the door’s stand without say anything from while ago. He knows that if he brought the lady along with him before, the situation will become worsen like now. And that’s why he took times to persuade the lady from stopped begging him from follow him after she showed him a picture of Jun with her and told him that the guy was her brother in the convenience store. However, just when he almost succeeds to make her to not follow him, the lady accidently saw the fire mark on his wrist which finally leads him to no choice.
“Look. I’m sorry for slapped you last night, Jun. But we need to go back to the hospital for your wound treatment. It might become worse.”
Jun’s sister finally says something. The brother however didn’t please by it.
“I can’t and I don’t want to. It’s better if you leave now.”
“No. I’ve look for you from last night and now I finally found you. I’ll not leave this place if you’re not coming with me.”
“Listen here, I’ve my reasons why I must stay here. The four of us can put your life in danger now, so please LEAVE.”
The sister grits hardly her teeth; trying her best to not let her overflow emotion out. Sho who was just watching them silently beside slowly pulls the door open.
“He’s right. I’m sorry, but you better leave.”
“What’s wrong with you guys?! If there’s really something happen, can’t you just tell me?!”
“It’s not as simple as you think. So-”
“Then, make it SIMPLE!”
“He told you to leave also right?!Are you deaf or what?!”
“I’m NOT leaving this place WITHOUT YOU!”
“It’ll be dangerous for you to stay here! We don’t want someone to lose their life again because of us!”
Sho’s impatient shout startles the lady. As he tries his best to hold back his furiousness, the lady suddenly moves to grab his arm and pulls up his shirt sleeve.
“You also have it.”
She immediately turns to Nino.
“Was this mark has something to do with the woman’s attack last night?”
However, Nino just stays silent; neither nod nor shook his head. As he has no idea with what the people around him are talking about, Aiba just bitterly closes his mouth. His brain couldn’t process anything until he took a glance inside the plastic bag beside him and saw medicines and stuff that he managed to grab from the convenience store. Immediately, he looks up at the three latter again. At first he wasn’t sure if he should treats Jun’s wound now looking by the tense mood that is surrounding them, but since he was worried if the guy will passed out again, he slowly leaves Nino’s side and approach them.
“I need to treat your wound.”
Jun returns Aiba’s look with a frown. His sister however immediately grabs her brother’s hand.
“Jun’s wound needs to receive a treatment at hospital, not here.”
“He can’t hear you and he KNOWS how to do it. He treated the terrible wound on my body and thanks to him, I am still alive now.”
“I can’t believe him just because of that. Plus, you’ve no equipment or medicine here!”
A small quarrel occurs between the lady and Sho. It took time before Aiba finally gets what words their mouth are producing of and lightly pats Sho’s back.
“Back then I was a medical volunteer. I’ve sent to a lot of countries whenever war or starvation happen, so I know how to handle this thing. Trust me.”
Hearing it, the other widen their eyes in surprise include Nino. For Sho, now he gets why the deaf guy knows with what he should do when treated him this morning.
“You hear that, ne-chan? No reason for you to worry about me anymore.”
“Jun, the hospital can give a proper treatment than him! So, cut your stubborn act now and follow me!”
“The one who act stubborn now IS you! We have our own reasons why we CAN’T leave now! Can’t you just trust your own brother for only this time?! Just leave us now!”
“Cause you’re the only family that I have! I don’t want to lose you after mom and dad!”
“MOM AND DAD DIE BECAUSE I KILLED THEM!!! CAN YOU STILL ACCPET ME AS YOUR FAMILY WITH THAT FACT?!!”
Sho and Nino startle by the sudden outburst. They can smell tense mood that occur between the siblings when they notice Jun’s sister flinches by her brother’s shout and brings her gaze away from him immediately. Both guys completely lost of words. The things that they only can do are watching and wait with what is going to happen next.
“The police said that it’s actually wasn’t your fault, so-”
“But you know it’s not true right?! Even though they said it’s impossible for me to stabbed mom and dad so many times in that short time and there’s evidence that I’m not the killer, for this entire time you’re actually thinking I’m the murder right?! You just keep lying yourself cause you afraid to be alone!”
She lost of words.
“Even when you saw me hold the knife before, you told me to put it beside dad’s body and help me to clean my bloody hands! But for all this time I felt guilty for doing that! I prefer to stay in jail because of that than live freely like nothing happen!”
No one says anything again. Four pair of eyes looks at the only lady there when they saw she is trying to say something. However only her lips are moving without any sound comes out from her throat.
“So, please go and leave us.”
“It’s true you’re not guilty in that matter Jun. But I can’t say anything because the police told me to do so.”
“THEN LEAVE!”
“Jun-”
“Please. We don’t want you to hurt because of us.”
“You might not see your brother anymore if you don’t listen to him now, you know?”
The lady beams Nino with a confused look. However she receives neither explanation nor word from any of them.

“Thanks.”
Aiba just nods with a smile while helping Jun to sits up on the floor. Sho and Nino who are just watching from aside from the wound’s cleaning until the change of Jun’s bandage couldn’t help but amaze with how clean Aiba’s work was. Remembering that the guy was once a volunteer years ago, somehow help Sho to understand why he was so calm to accept the fact that he can’t hear even a single thing anymore. He believes the deaf guy must already witness something that more horrible when did his volunteer job before which makes him become a stronger person now.
“You know. Somehow I feel glad we have Aiba-san with us.”
Sho returns the eye patch guy’s smile immediately. Nino was right. Maybe if Aiba was not with them now, their situation will already become worsen.
“How’s your feeling Matsumoto-san?”
“Much better. It’s hurt at first but not anymore.”
The youngest said while touches his a bit dizzy head.
“We should leave now. They are going to find us soon or later.”
“But I wonder if your sister is still around. It’ll turn out bad if we bump into her.”
“It’s fine. I believe she’s not here anymore.”
“But even though we leave this place, we still have no place to go. I think it’ll be more dangerous than stay here.”
Jun sighs. Aiba was right.
“And I want to save Ohno-san. He helped us a lot.”
“Don’t worry. He is safe no matter what. His guardian won’t let anything happen to him.”
Silence again. Only sound of the rain hit the roof and outside comes to their ears for a while. Suddenly, Sho looks up to them.
“There’s nothing can guarantee that we’re going to survive this game, but at least maybe we can extend the chance of us to stay alive.”
“What do you mean?”
“Maybe we can share about anything that we know and start to plan anything from there?”
“I agree.”
They turn to Nino immediately.
“Those idiot Shinigami just keep repeating that this is a game right? So, whenever we want to win a certain game, we need a proper strategy.”
“You’ve something in your mind?”
“I just think…back then you’ve sent a message to call for your Shinigami to kill you and it works immediately. Maybe we can use it.”
Sho nods by it. Soon, it is Aiba’s turn to say something.
“I don’t know if this is helping. Sakurai-san’s Shinigami has told me before that…if I was his apprentice, he must be already killing me right away. Does it mean the Shinigami can’t kill…someone who is not his or her apprentice?”
Something snaps into Sho’s mind immediately.
“If that so, that’s mean even though there are two different apprentices at a same place, the Shinigami can’t plan something that can kill both of the apprentices. So that’s why the guardian before said that we’ve a higher chance to survive if we stay together.”
“But our Shinigami already cooperate with each other now. Means, once they found us they maybe will plan to do something creepy continuously until we die. We’re dealing on 4 Shinigami. It’ll be harder than when we’re alone.”
“But Sakurai-san’s Shinigami already said…that he won’t cooperate with our Shinigami right?”
“Don’t call them with ‘he’ or ‘she’ even though they’re once a human before. I feel disgust.”
Immediately, the three guys look at him.
“I’ve something on my mind, but the chance of us to die is might be higher than before.”
The rain was getting heavier when Sho speaks out about his thought to them. Along with others, Aiba tries his best to catch all what Sho said and tells honestly when he couldn’t get it. Gradually however, Nino finally senses something dangerous about it.
“Wait. That’s mean we’re going to separate from each other?”
“That’s the only way. I know it’s risky. That’s why we only can do it when there’s emergency or anything related with it.”
“But the one who is in danger will be you, Sakurai-san. Your Shinigami has Ohno-san.”
Sho sighs. He knows Nino is right and he honestly also have no idea how to deal with it too.
“Well, just make sure one of us stays with Sakurai-san. And that person can’t hold his phone. Anything we do now is risky after all.”
None of them says anything again afterwards. Stay together means will lead to a lot of attack on row but to move alone also mean they are gambling their life. Maybe it is true like what Aiba said before that as long as Sho with them those Shinigami will quarrel with each other again. But what if the human-Shinigami are going to let the pure one to do anything on them all of sudden? Besides, Ohno is not on their side now.
“I really think we should save Ohno-san. I couldn’t see him like that.”
Aiba said while hugs his knee in front of his chest. On the other hand, Sho also thinks the same but he has no idea with what they should do to make it happen. It’s beyond their ability. While Nino took another sip of his water, Jun silently leans on the clothes rack behind him.
“Should we leave now?”
“To where?”
“Anywhere but here. It’ll be more dangerous if we stay in this store longer.”
“I understand. But it’s raining heavily outside.”
Jun just listens without says anything. He was about to take another deep breath, tries to let all the tense he feels out of his body when he saw a familiar face is standing outside of the store’s display glass. Immediately, he moves aback.
“What’s wrong?”
“He found us.”
They turn to the place he is looking at immediately. Surprise by the figure of Jun’s Shinigami is looking at them from outside; the other guys took little move aback and stood up. They expect something will happen soon, but the Shinigami still does not move at all. Suddenly, the death angel gives Jun a smile before suddenly disappear from there. The act makes all of them turn to look around them immediately in case the Shinigami is planning to attack them sneakily. However, nothing happen even after a while.
“Did he eavesdropping us?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Maybe he is going to call the other Shinigami. It’s better if we leave this place now.”
“No.”
Sho and Nino turn to the youngest one.
“He is targeting for my sister.”
“What? But-”
Without listening, Jun immediately moves to the only door there. Just when he stormed out and wants to look for his sister, Nino suddenly grabs his hand.
“He is planning to trap you!”
“I know! But I’m not going to sacrifice my sister’s life! She has nothing to do with this!”
“But how you’re going to find her?!”
“I can call her number! Now let go of your hand from me!”
“Idiot! Doing that will put you in more dangerous situation! Phone is the device for those Shinigami to track and kill us! Who knows he might be plan something since earlier to make you use your phone?!”
The four guys now completely drench under the heavy rain. They even barely can hear each other voices no matter how loud they speak. Both Nino and Jun are trying to stabilize again their breath when Jun suddenly pulls Nino’s hand away from his and quickly took out his phone from his pocket.
“Let’s do like what Sakurai-san said then.”
Nino returns his gaze in disbelieve. Unexpectedly, Aiba follows the youngest acts and flips open his phone; waiting for the rest to exchange numbers with him.
“Are you serious?!”
“I will look for Ohno-san.”
Sho and Nino stare the deaf guy in surprise. Both guys couldn’t believe the two guys in front them dare to do that far just for save others. Finally, Nino sighs as he knows that he and Sho can’t let the two guys to do anything without their help.
“We’ll back up you guys then.”
He takes out his phone from his pocket, follow by Sho.
“Set each of us number in speed dial.”
Quickly, the four guys exchange their numbers. As they finish and give a maybe will be their final look to each other, they hurriedly exchange their own phone with each other.
“See you guys later.”
As fast as he can, he quickly leaves the place follows by Aiba who took a different path from him. Sho and Nino only can worriedly watch them disappear from their sight before the two of them head to other road; leaving the place as soon as they can before their strategy ruin and another life gone.

17/5/12 06:47 (UTC)Well, about that issue(hehehe) he can understand it by 'reading' their lips. Since he's deaf after the game and not from earlier, he still can understand like usual as long as he watch when anyone is talking.I kind of experiance it before X)
