Disclaimer: Plot 65% from me, 35% based on the real drama. The characters are not mine!
Summary: Based on Ryusei no Kizuna drama with slight change. 5 brothers sneaked out from their house to watch meteor shower but only found their parents were brutally murdered after returned home. 14 years later, the police unfortunately still could not find the culprit behind their parents death. The brothers meanwhile already become grown-up men and move to Tokyo, but still close with each other. They fill their days with laugh and funny quarrel despite of the deep grudge they hold toward their parents' murderer for the whole past years.
A/N: Their surname is Ariake.
Prologue : Under the Meteor Shower
14 years ago
“Aniki, are you still up?”
Sho’s head suddenly popped out to look for his brother from the upper side of their bunk beds. Satoshi just hummed in response with one of his hands stroked lightly Jun’s hair and the other one patted Kazu’s back. The two younger brothers were snored calmly beside him.
“Sho-nii, are you going to watch the meteor shower with Aniki?”
The second eldest clumsily turned to his back and sighed by Masaki’s awakened face. Looking by Masaki’s puppy eyes, he knew what the younger one was thinking about.
“You can’t come with us. You’re still young.”
“I’m just a year younger than you! That means I’m old en-!”
Sho covered his mouth immediately and hushed. With a glared, he then slowly took off his hand.
“We’ll be dead if mom and dad know about this. At least if they find out only Aniki and I are not here, they are not going to scold you guys.”
The younger one pouted.
“That’s unfair.”
On the other hand, Satoshi felt a movement from the 7 years old Jun.
“Can I follow you guys? I want to watch it too.”
“See, Masa? You make Jun awake.”
“Me too.”
Sho groaned silently by that voice. He actually felt more than happy to bring his younger brothers along, but it was quite dangerous and they only had two bicycles which were his and Aniki’s. Besides, if they got caught by their parents, their father will not feel hesitant to slash them with his Sashimi knife later.
“Fine. Let’s go and watch it together.”
“What? Are you serious Aniki? Mom and dad are going to kill us.”
“Leave it to me.”
The three younger brothers cheered as low as they can. Slowly, Satoshi got up from the bed and tip toed to the door. After he closed the door behind him and climbed down the stairs to grab for their shoes, he took a peek inside of their living room. Their parents did not sleep yet and seemed were discussing about something serious.
‘Dad’s recipe book?’
He frowned when he saw his father’s precious book on the table. It was so unusual for his dad to take it out from his locked draw. He then heard a whisper from the upstairs.
“Hurry up. What are you doing?”
Satoshi clumsily nodded and tip toed to the upstairs again. After helping Kazu and Jun to wear their shoes, Sho carefully climbed out from the window before safely stomped on the house’s back yard. He then helped his brothers one by one to climb down until all of them succeeded to reach the land. Soon, the five of them quietly walked out from their house area after Satoshi and Sho took their bicycles which they were purposely left next to their house’s gate before.
“Hold me tight, okay?”
Both Kazu and Jun nodded. With the second youngest sat on the back seat and the other one in front him, Satoshi started to lead their way. Sho followed him soon after making sure Masaki safely sat behind him. The journey to the hill behind their school suppose to take about 15 minutes, but they could make it there less because of the winding road that they took. As soon as they reached the meteor shower watching spot, Sho immediately took his old blanket out from his backpack and spread it on the empty area of the hill.
“As expected from Sho-nii. Always prepare for any possibilities.”
“Cool, wasn’t it?”
The younger brother just rolled his eyes; made the rest exploded with laugh. As soon as the five Ariake brothers lied on the blanket, they fell into a deep silence. Their eyes roamed all around the dark sky above them until they heard someone was snoring peacefully between them.
“Aniki?”
The eldest did not answer it but continued to dive into his dreamland. Finally found something to amuse them, the four younger brothers decided to play with their Aniki’s face before Jun suddenly let a gasp out.
“Meteor shower!”
He pointed at the sky with his tiny hand.
For a while, the four of them completely dazzled by the sight of the shining meteor rains until it disappeared a moment later. It took a minute before Sho finally spoke that they should took their leave and few more minutes passed until Satoshi completely woke up and brought them to head home again. Later, they safely reached their house.
“Stop pouting, Aniki. There must be another chance again, right?”
“Yep. We definitely will watch it again.”
“You guys are so mean for didn’t wake me up…”
They giggled. Satoshi however just continued to pout and walked to the back yard with his brothers followed him from behind. Just when they almost turned to the right, sudden running footsteps made Masaki to turn around immediately. He frowned when he saw a man was hurriedly left their house’s gate. Confusedly, he tugged Sho’s hem of shirt.
“Sho-nii, I saw someone left.”
“Hmm? Dad?”
“No. A man. I think he brings something with him.”
“It’s impossible. You must be mistaken it with something else.”
“I’m not.”
“Don't tell me you're dreaming already.”
“Am not.”
“Or did you just see…a ghost?”
“It’s human! I saw it with my eyes!”
“Okay, calm down. Just forget about it okay, Masa?”
However, Ariake Masaki just pouted furiously. Attempted to prove that he was right, he immediately ran to the front yard and slid open their house’s door; completely forgot that their parents did not know they were not on bed. Sho quickly chased him from behind, but at the time he finally managed to catch his brother’s hand, they were already inside of the house.
“Dad and mom are going to scold us.”
Sho felt his stomach flutter inside. The younger one then suddenly lifted his hand and pointed to the living room which the light was left on. Sho who dumbly followed it widened his eyes in surprise. Quickly, he moved his palm to close Masaki’s eyes.
Blood was everywhere.

#I'm back! :) I've wrote Arashi as brothers in My Girl one shot before, but this time it'll be series one and they're Ariake brothers. Finally I'm back to my real genre and lighter fic! Feel free to drop criticism for improvement!
